WHAT
TO WEAR TO OUR CLASSES:
Come
as you are. No special attire needed. Be comfortable &
willing to sweat!
Jazz shoes or a Dance sneaker are recommended for all
Jazz classes. Aerobic or walking sneakers may be worn in the basic level only, and must be
taken off during the warm-up part of class. Clothing may consist of tights & leotards
or Jazz pants, sweats, leggins and T-shirts.
- For
Hip Hop and Street Funk Classes:
Any kind of non-marking sneaker may be worn for Hip
Hop, but please... NO BOOTS!. Clothing is usually very loose fitting, and may include
sweats, Leggins, T-shirts, baggy jeans and leotard tops. No one in tight pants or skirts
will be allowed into the class.
Ballet slippers are recommended for Ballet class,
along with tights & leotards or leggins so the instructors can clearly see the lines
of the body. T-shirts may also be worn if so desired.
Flat tap oxfords are recommended for tap, but be sure
to purchase the ones held with screws, NOT NAILS. Basic tap classes may initially be taken
in a firm-fitting, low heeled leather soled shoe, but beware though... its much more fun
to hear the sounds you make wearing taps.
- For Contemporary Classes:
No shoes are needed for
Contemporary. Wear any kind of dancewear.
Wear form fitting
tights &
leotards or leggins. Bring ballet slippers or socks.
Workout clothes and sneakers are required for all Workout classes.
- For Salsa Classes
& Ballroom:
Wear any kind of casual
clothing that you can move in freely. Dance sneakers are recommended over
sneakers. High heel shoes should ONLY be a proper Capezio or other ballroom/character dance shoe
that does not scratch the floor. PLEASE.... no open back sandals, flip-flops or slip-on
shoes that do not stay firmly on your foot.
