WHAT
TO WEAR TO OUR CLASSES
Jazz shoes or a Dance sneaker are recommended for all
Jazz classes. Aerobic or walking sneakers may be worn in the basic level only, and must be
taken off during the warm-up part of class. Clothing may consist of tights & leotards
or Jazz pants, sweats, leggings and T-shirts.
Any kind of non-marking sneaker may be worn for Hip
Hop, but please... NO BOOTS!. Clothing is usually very loose fitting, and may include
sweats, Leggings, T-shirts, baggy jeans and leotard tops. No one in tight pants or skirts
will be allowed into the class.
Ballet slippers are recommended for Ballet class,
along with tights & leotards or leggings so the instructors can clearly see the lines
of the body. T-shirts may also be worn if so desired.
Flat tap oxfords are recommended for tap, but be sure
to purchase the ones held with screws, NOT NAILS. Basic tap classes may initially be taken
in a firm-fitting, low heeled leather soled shoe, but beware though... its much more fun
to hear the sounds you make wearing taps.
No shoes are worn in Contemporary Dance
classes. Clothing should include any kind of dance or athletic wear.
Tights and leggings should be footless.
Please wear form fitting dancewear like
tights & leotards or leggings & leotards, & bring ballet slippers
or take the class barefooted
- For Salsa &
Ballroom Classes
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in
freely & sturdy shoes. Dance-sneakers are recommended over regular
sneakers for levels 2 & beyond. High heel shoes should ONLY be a reputable
ballroom dance shoe
that does not scratch the floor. PLEASE.... do not wear open back sandals,
clogs, mule sandals or slip-on
shoes that do not stay firmly on your feet.
Regular non-marking sneakers or Dancesneakers are required for Dancing Through The Decades,
Zumba, Cardio EasyDance &
all dance fitness classes.
